Production of Documentary and Educational Films on Palestinian Cultural Heritage and the Palestinian Collective Identity

The film explores how the Taboun is made, its uses, and its economic and social importance, especially for women. Women in Masafer Yatta continue the tradition of gathering around the Taboun in the morning and evening, discussing all matters concerning the village or the khirba. For the women of Masafer Yatta, the Taboun serves as a space for social gathering and conversation about life in Masafer Yatta, particularly regarding the looming threat of forced displacement imposed by the occupation. It is important to note that even the Taboun structures themselves are threatened with demolition, and many have already been destroyed in Masafer Yatta.

A Palestinian deeply rooted in his heritage, proud of his identity, steadfastly holding on to his land and homeland in Masafer Yatta, resilient in the face of all challenges.

The caves are my home and a part of my identity.
